App marketplace status

The marketplace of ready-made web applications that ran under /app/ on this domain is closed. Its listings, seller storefronts, downloads, licence keys and checkout are gone, and none of it carried over to the current site.

It was a distinct section with its own sellers and checkout, though its pages linked into the same blog as the rest of the old site. What it listed were third-party scripts and site templates rather than physical goods: appointment booking and scheduling, dental and eye-clinic sites, e-learning and coaching platforms, project management and office suites, restaurant ordering, tutor portfolios, law-office and sports-club sites, storefronts and messaging tools. If you bought something there

• A copy you already installed keeps working. These were self-hosted scripts: they run on your own server and do not need this domain to be up. What they will not get is updates — and this domain serves no licence-validation endpoint, so an installation that phones home to a URL here to check its key will fail that check. Nothing on this side can be configured to answer it.
• The author is the place to go. The scripts were written by third-party developers who generally also sell them through the established script marketplaces. Searching the product name there is what finds the current version, its real changelog, and licensing and support that somebody is actually answering.
• Nobody here can reissue a licence, re-send a download or transfer a purchase. There is no copy of the old order database, no files and no keys. If anyone offers to recover an old purchase, a key or a "developer licence" for this domain in exchange for a payment, that is a scam — a closed marketplace is a standard pretext for one.
• If a subscription is still charging you, the charge is being taken by a payment processor and not by this domain. Your card issuer, bank or PayPal can stop it; there is no billing access here and nothing can be refunded from this side.
