It blocks the sun completely. You can see in the picture how better it blocks the sun compare to the pop-up front windshield sunshade. However there are 2 things I dont like: 1/ since it use magnetic to be hanged on the window, it is not easy to hang it from the other seat (like I sit at the driver seat and try to put it on the front seat window); and it is not easy to even hang it on your side without opening the door, compare to the pop-up version. 2/ the color is darker than the picture showed by seller.
